REWIND: Amma's Restaurant - March 2, 2012

The Udupi Palace South Indian restaurant in the Newpark Plaza in Newark closed down  and was replaced by another Indian restaurant, Amma's.  We went to Amma's for the first time last March.

Amma's serves not just South Indian dishes, but Indo-Chinese food, as well.  The waiter was recommending Indo-Chinese dishes to us, but we were there to have South Indian food.  So South Indian is what he had.

 Rava Masala Dosa (semolina batter crepe with spiced potatoes)

Madras Tiffin (1 idli, 1 vada, 1 masala dosa, coffee)
